Hi, new to this site and looking for some help.
My Dell Inspiron 1520 has recently decided no to start up.
I turn it on, sometimes it makes it to just after boot then fails, others it will make it to the login I'll type in my password it will go to verify and then hang up.
I've tried it with out the battery in, with out it plugged in, and with both power supplies. Also everytime it boots it wants to do a disk check.

Does anyone have any idea what might be wrong or a possible fix?

    Thanks,
    Johnsoir

It's possibly the laptop overheating due to dust in the cpu.
    Have you ever cleaned it?
