I'm getting very low 3Dmark scores with my 7400 Go Nvidia card. I have a XPS-M1210

    3DMark03 - 1300
    3DMark05 - 800

I've seen everyone else on the internet getting 4000+ on 3DMark03. I've tried every driver I can find (Laptoptogo, Dell, NVidia). Can anyone help? Thanks.

    It's on AC power.

    2 questions:

    1. Sure you have a 7400 in there? Check the bios.
    2. In the settings for your card, make sure you don't have AA and Antroscopic filtering om max settings. Set to let application decide.

The BIOS shows that it is a Quadro NVS 120m. Is this the same card as the 7400 Go?

The settings are set for application controlled.

Did you check to make sure the Powermizer setting in the nvidia drivers is set to max performance for AC outlet power?

I checked the powermizer and it is set for max power. I still get very low scores. What else can I do? I'm a little concerned that the BIOS says that my card is a Quadro and not a Geforce.

If it is still showing a Quadro card in the BIOS, first thig you need to do is update that.

Grab A04 from Dells' site and install it.

Also, did you remove all the bloatware from Dell and clean out your registry?

My 3D marks imporved over 700 when I got rid of the Dell install of Windows and did it myself.

I upgraded to the A04 BIOS. The card now shows up as a 7400. I've formatted and reinstalled XP. My last score in 3DMark03 was 1303. This seems very low.

Check your advanced video card settings to make sure it's not using Anti-Ailasing and Antroscopic filtering on EVERYTHING instead of just on apps. that request it.

Sounds like something isn't right. The quadro is equivalent to a GeForce 7300, but even then the scores should be higher. Did you check the Display Devices area to ensure it detects the GeForce 7400? Also you might want to check how much memory is dedicated to the card. I think most run it with the 64 dedicated and add the turbo cache, regular memory, to bump it up to 256.

How much memory do you have available?

do you have vsync enabled in the nv control panel, if so disable or set to application controlled, I get over 2200 in 05, I would call dell right away, what were your scores before your reformat?

    i get a score 2300 with 3dmark05 if I overclock the 7400. 2000 without overclocking.
