Hmmm...that larger volume overlay looks kind of like the Logitech volume overlay. Have you installed any Logitech setpoint software? If so, you may want to try disabling it, or at least disabling the OSD.
There may also be a Dell hotkey control in the control panel that will allow you to turn off any OSD. -
Check if you have ehtray.exe running. Uncheck it in msconfig/Startup.

It is there again:

Oppps I didn't restart the computer when i wrote the above thing, now it has disappeared, thanks to billcsho.!Thans man A LOT!!!!!
But what is this green thing after all and where does it come from , what is this etray..
It is written here that it is: ( ehtray.exe Enables the user to access Windows Messenger from within Windows Media Center Edition ) - http://www.sysinfo.org/startuplist.php?filter=ehtray But is obviously is not related at all with the messanger!
thain1982, I don't think I have installed any logitec stuff, as I am not shure if Dell Has bought the rights to share it on their site, with their drivers..OSD.. -
@Acunga:
I wasn't saying it would have been something Dell installed. I just know that the Logitech Setpoint software that came with my wireless keyboard/mouse puts a nearly identical on-screen display up. I ended up uninstalling setpoint because of instability problems in Vista, though.

Logitech and iTouch has similar OSD, but this one should be part of the Windows Media Center Edition installation.
-
And disabling it from the msconfig menu is the only way to get rid of it?By the way why it is written on the internet that this exe file is concerning the messanger?"to access Windows Messenger from within Windows Media Center Edition"
How did you understood it was related to the OSD of the shortcut, it could help in would be useful to hear
Greeting again for the great job!
