Ok..so i finally got my I6000. Without any more waiting, I reformatted to Xp Pro from XP home that I ordered on it. However, here are the few questions:

    1) When I boot up the laptop, it asks me to choose how I would like to continute to windows...choosing either PRO or HOME, clicking PRO continues normally, but Home does not work, but having the option delaying boot time is a little annoying..how would I go on having that removed?

    2) Ahh reformatting means I have to download all those drivers! Does it matter which one I download first or are there any necessary ones? or even will the window updates take care of them? thanks.

The drivers are the same. You can edit the boot.ini file to remove XP Home from the boot list.

zazonz: I seem to find the boot.ini on this desktop(my own)..but not the laptop. Would you know why? I even searched in the hidden files also.

right click on my computer-->properties-->advance-->startup & recover-->click edit in the first section

You should see the line with XP home, and delete it, then save it.

as for the drivers, like zazonz said, download the ones for XP (not XP 64) from Dell's Support website. Windows update is for windows, and not hardware.
