I'm trying to capture some video on my wifes Studio 1647 laptop. I shot in HDV 30p on two Canon HV40 cameras. If I try to capture in HD the video is all messed up, green mush, pixellation, etc...

Even if I take a tape out and try to capture a live feed from the camera it's messed up. If I switch to regular SD DV mode there is no problem. It will capture live or from tape and turns out fine.

It happens on both cameras and I've ruled out it being the tapes or heads. I was thinking it may be the cable or port on the computer but if they were going bad it should have problems capturing SD also.

Someone suggested it could be a driver issue so here I am asking for advice.
