    Hey everyone,

I've very recently become the proud owner of a Dell Inspiron 1520, but I've been having trouble with a few things.

My laptop came preinstalled with Windows Vista home premium. I carried out a fresh install of Windows Vista Ultimate and now my webcam does not work.

When I launch the webcam manager the portion of the screen in which the webcam picture should be displayed is black.

I have installed the drivers for the webcam but It is still the same.

Someone on the forums mentioned that it would be a good idea to install the intel trubo memory drivers, however I have tried that and when I try to install the drivers I get a message saying that "Your computer does not meet the mimum requirements".

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

irock - my 1520 webcam works fine on Home Premium - did you use Dell's R160323? That's the Creative webcam driver and it worked for me when I re-installed Premium over the Dell imaged install. Good luck...

Still not working for me. I just don't know why it wont work.

I think I might try a fresh install and then install the drivers again before I have important data on the hard drive. Bit of a pain though.
