    Hello!

I'm having problems with my wireless. I came to the conclusion that the problem is the Intel PROset.

When I use it, after some time of downloading (after many hours), I get an error and it becomes disabled and all I can do is restart the computer. I don't have the same problem with the Windows Wireless manager.

I checked online, and I downloaded the latest version of PROset, but I continue having the problem.

Am I doing something wrong? Any suggestions?

    Thanks in advance!

You're doing nothing wrong, its just crappy software.

Do yourself a favor and uninstall PROset.
You can get the drivers only for your card from intel here.

Then just let windows manage your wireless connections, DONE!

I just did this yesterday after having enough of the problems just like you described.

This will lower the number of running processes too :D

I have problems with windows managing my wireless, I have a usr maxg router, and with windows in control, all computers (5) lose connection after an hour or two, I then have to reset the router and all is fine, for an hour or two, with proset I have no such problem, I had that problem with 2 dell notebooks, an I6400 and a m1210
