    Problems with Studios???

    Just went into PC World (our version of Best buy) and they had a ticket with studio 17 green, but with a Inspiron green 1525 sitting there.

    I asked a flunky if they had any studios, now I know this is one level above an ameoba, but he said, no, they have all been recalled by Dell due to a "problem"

    Anyone know about this or is it typical BS from a floor monkey?

    I don't like the sound of that. :( Surely they would have announced something if there was a massive recall, right? We certainly would have heard more about it on these forums by now. That person may have been misinformed. At least I hope that's the case.

    After reading posts here, it seems to me that they have 2 different fabrics.
    one in malasya and one in poland.
    anyway in dell's american site there is nothing about it. only old batteries recall...

    they have a battery shortage is what I am told. ordered a studio via dell(lay) 7/26/08 and estimate ship date 9/4/2008
