    Problems with conexant modem!!

    Hello Forum!!

    I have the Inspiron 6000 with the Conexant D110 MDC V.92 Modem. Sometimes when I try to connect using the modem the explorer, the windows bar and the task bar freezes!!. Its a litle bit strange, ´cause windows keep working and I can so some tasks, but at the end I have to disconnect the phone line and wait ´till the computer goes back to the normal working state.
    I have the latest modem drivers from Dell site.

    I was looking in the process, and most of the time there is an active process related to the Windows Update feature when I have the problem, something called "wucplt" or "aupdate".

    what I can do?, what is causing the problem?
