I use the Dell BT mouse all the time when I'm at my desk. Sometimes, when my system is back from standby or hibernation Vista doesn't recognize the BT Mouse. Restarting the mouse doesn't help too..! I've to go to Device manager to repair the device and get it back to action.

Is anyone facing the same issue or is it something that happens only for me?

get a logitech lx7. battery life is much better. and you'll have this cool usb looking thing hanging off the side of your laptop like a dog with its head out window.

In my experience Vista + Bluetooth = not cool. I mean sure it works most of the time, but you want your stuff to work 100% of them time. My bluetooth mouse Logitech MX5000 mouse and keyboard has a lot of problems with vista, sometimes it would disconnect for no reason...

    this is true.

I have a bluetooth mouse. It works fine and dandy with no problem. Recenty, i bought a Microsoft Bluetooth keyboard and this is when the problem start.

Whenever im not using the keyboard for about 5-10 minutes and i press some button, the bluetooth would froze. Mouse and keyboard wont work.... for at least a minute later. It seems like the connection between my keyboard and computer broke and it tries to connect again and thats why theres a lag.

I tried to uninstall the dell bluetooth driver and install Bluesoleil bluetooth program but it keep giving trouble when installing...

anyone experience same problem when using both bluetooth mouse and keyboard? I think my main problem is the keyboard.

I have a simliar problem with my Dell BT Travel Mouse. The mouse will lose its connectivity when the Notebook goes into hibernation or standby. When it occurs I will have to removed the BT mouse and reinstalled as no repairing is possible. However the problem does not occur if I shut down the Notebook.

Anyone out there know how to resolve this problem??

    Cheers

It works well with or without the driver. You can also try Logitech's SetPoint software, since Dell's BT mouse is a re-branded Logitech, and if you have other Logitech input devices (wired, RF or BT), it will enable certain features that otherwise wouldn't be available and does things like give you battery status in the tray and otehr perks like that which you may or may not be interested in.

Sometimes, when resuming from standby, the mouse doesn't come back. In that case, the easiest fix is to turn the wireless switch (on the side of the laptop) off and then back on again. WI-Fi comes up in a matter of seconds, and the BT re-initializes, too.
