Dell UK currently have the Dell XPs 1530 with 3gb of ram for £650. Seems a good deal - however I notice they have downgraded the 2ghz processor to a 1.66 and are now asking an extra £80 for the upgrade!

Is it worth paying the extra or should I get the lower processor and possibly look to upgrade in the future. The only CPU intensive tasks I will be doing is playing games but then I am wondering if the GPU will be the limiting factor in this instane anyway.

    Any advice would be appreciated

    Thanks

Performance difference between T5450 and T7250 is 10-15% so it's up to you.

And games rely on GPU anyway.

Unless you play RTS games, the more powerful CPU isn't probably worth it IMO.

I'd opt for the better CPU.

    Just me.
