Every once in a while, I will hear a single clicking noise in my m1530, it sounds like it's coming from the processor since I've located the clicking noise to be coming from the left hand rest directly below the keyboard. I think this may be a sound one of the processors makes when it's turning on/off to save power. Just to be sure, does anyone know what this single clicking noise is? (Not the high-pitched frequency noise from the processor)

Clicking noises usually come from the hard drive, I've never heard of a cpu making a clicking noise,

Thanks for the info, but I think I might have worded the situation wrong. The clicking noise I'm talking about actually may sound more like an internal beep and happens about once every 15 minutes where as the hard drive constantly clicks. I'm not having any problems with the pc as far as I know, but can anyone shed some light on this?
