When I originally purchased my laptop, I only ordered a Intel Core DUO processor @ 1.83. This is not good enough for my gaming needs. Does anyone know what processors that work for the e1505, and will meet the specs of Call of Duty 2 running DX9 and Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter 2(or 1 i guess). I have a very limited budget by the way.
    my current specs(thanks to xfire):
    Manufacturer:
    Dell Inc.
    Processor:
    Genuine Intel(R) CPU T2400 @ 1.83GHz (2 CPUs)
    Memory:
    2046MB RAM
    Hard Drive:
    86 GB
    Video Card:
    NVIDIA GeForce Go 7300
    Monitor:
    Plug and Play Monitor
    Sound Card:
    SigmaTel Audio
    Speakers/Headphones:
    Keyboard:
    USB Root Hub
    Mouse:
    USB Root Hub
    Mouse Surface:
    Operating System:
Windows XP Home Edition (5.1, Build 2600) Service Pack 2 (2600.xpsp_sp2_qfe.070227-2300)

If your worried about gaming performance, you need a better GPU. Fortunately, the e1505 can get an upgrade to the X1400, but only if you get the part from Dell. I'm not sure about pricing, but I know for sure changing the CPU out is NOT going to help you play games.

You'll have to contact Dell or browse eBay for the part. Those are the only two sources, and when on eBay you have to make sure the X1400 was pulled from another E1505.

I hope its on the Dell website, cause Dell is a hassle to deal with over the phone. I researched the x1400, and it says that its low-end, and wont handle games any better. Is this true? Are there no other Video cards that will work for the e1505?

    Nope...sorry man.

You might want to see if Dell has some type of parts store you could get it from.
