Okay I have a few questions I was hoping you guys/gals could answer:

-Is the Vista Ultimate on the M1530's 64 bit?

-What is the best (most cost effective RAM to buy, recommendations welcome)

-If ultimate is 64 bit will it come with the 64 bit back up cd?

And this is out of pure speculation but since the Product (RED) version is representing an outside corperation and being produced in cooperation with microsoft do you believe that the build quality will be better and there willl be less chance of getting that "Jank" samsung WUXGA screen?

My thanks in advance, I am avidly awaiting to join the ranks of the XPS M1530 owners.

Basically what nizzy said but with a few added features. I would not buy the product (RED) for some reason they are more expensive (not the donation) but the actual components just look at the processor 2.6Ghz $575 for product (RED) 2.6Ghz $475 for the other configurations. I don't know why but thats just what dell did.

From the pricing I seen at Dell.com, the same config with product red is more expensive than "non Red" configs. Personally, I wouldn't bother with Prod Red. The build quality will be no different. My Black 1530, by the way, is great.

I don't recall who mentioned it early but in another thread, someone said the processor prices were for the penryn. Perhaps Dell forgot to do an update. The first time I was able to config this unit, it had the penryn chips which have mysteriously dissapeared since the official release.
