I've been searching for a way to protect the LCD, palmrest, media control panel, underside, and lid top but have not found anything that was designed for the 1530. Something like invisible sheild premade for the 1530 would be awesome, but no such cut for the 1530 is available (that I can find atleast). Anyone have ideas?
I take my laptop (in my backpack) to class and work every day and don't want the computer to wear out externally.
According to dell the LCD touches the keybord ( for them this is normal?!) and have seen scuffs so I use the foam thing that the laptop was originally packaged in (looks really bad pulling that thing out!)
Any ideas on protecting the majority of the laptop from scratches and minor dings?

Invisible shield have a custom order where you can get a custom sized sheet.
They allow you to put in the details of the measurements, or a link to the product itself (e.g the dell site) which will help them get a better idea of what you want it for. -
yea but if they don't have the actual model how do they make sure it is accurate?
I don't want to do any cutting if possible. Also they would need to keep the openings to the vents so the laptop doesnt get insulated.
Plus what if you want to get to the ram? Will they leave a cut out for the pannel to the ram?
I think they would need to have one on hand and make measurements and take into consideration design elements. I dont think they can get all this information from the dell website or from simple measurements.
Thanks for the response though! -
I dont think you would want to put a shield on the bottom of the laptop...

Why not? As long as it is not blocking the vents/panels wouldn't it keep it cleaner and protect from dings? Especially if you are putting it down on not so clean areas...

You can get a custom invisible shield made. You have to make all the measurements though so if it doesn't fit right it basically would be your fault.
