Hi, in a quiet room the fan is audible and I just keep hearing a whoosh sound that pulsates and crescendos. It's like a whOOsh, whOOsh, enough to where I notice it and think it's not normal.

    Any way to fix this?

what is the fix for this whoosh/woosh sound? It's actually pretty annoying.
I'm still within the return period.

Their is a app to control fans on DeLL's. Would that help? No crescendos. Maybe all forte!

Actually, ik8fan was the problem; uninstalling it solve it.

So if you set ik8fan to "meeting" mode, it turns off the fan almost entirely. Then when the temp rises, the fan "kicks" into action, resulting in a surge that makes the fan go to like 80% full blast and then immediately near silent again. Removing this program makes the fan go on more frequently but at least it doesn't make this ugly sound when it does go on.
