I went with 1gb of ram which I will upgrade to 2gb myself, no way am I paying $200 for something that is worth $80. As for the HDD I have never needed much room at all especially if I have a backup HDD but I have a WD 2.5" external 160gb 5400rpm HDD that I am thinking about swapping into this.

Should recieve the 2nd or 3rd, so excited.

 

$1900 seems like bit pricy for a M1330 with standard 1 year warranty and 1GB RAM. Nevertheless, its a good spec (after the RAM upgrade).

 

I, too, just purchased a M1330 and I'm in Canada. The specs. are:

Purchased my M1330 today also. Also in Canada. I wasn't able to get any discounts on the configuration I wanted but that isn't really news. We don't really get anything like the massive discounts I saw in the other thread here... heck we don't even get small ones.

 

yeah, i am not sure how some people got the low prices but I do not believe I have any access to any of it. I got the 6% off just for spending more than $1600 and I am lucky to have that even though it doesn't even cover taxes. Built it through several different links nad through Home, small business, and student and the price ranged only up to $40 so no biggie. Dell also does not have any couspons for XPS and def not this line for a while so it was either way months for a price drop/coupon or purchase now. I am not sure what you guys are telling them on the phone to get the lower price but I am aware I might have been able to get more of a discount through a Dell Kiosk but only another 10% max?

and yeah pheonix I will def be getting the ram upgrade which is a shame since if I ram XP i would prob stick with the 1gb for the time being
