Just about to hit the purchase button on the Studio 15 with these specs, just needed to check to make sure I'm not over paying. And I'm Canada :)

    Studio 15
    i7 720q
    4GB DDR3 (1066mhz)
    500gb HDD 7200rpm
    ATI 5470 1GB
    Full 1080p HD screen w/webcam
    Back Lit Keyboard
    9 Cell Battery
    Soundblaster X-Fi HD Audio
    Bluetooth Added
    8x DVDRW (I believe it's slot type)
And a 3year complete care warranty

All for $1556 including taxes, discounts and other fees. Does that look like too expensive.

Oh and I'm getting the 6 months, interest free payment plan.

I thought the price was high until I read the part about the payment plan. Nobody pays list price from Dell. :p A rep will ususally work with you and get you some discount.

Did you get this price off the web by configuring a usit on-line or have you spoken to a rep? If you've spoken to a rep and this is the best deal you can get, I think the deferred payment may make it ok. I know my company pays a fairly high credit rate to Dell for any balance it carries on its account. Not only that, but you're in Canada. Prices never make sense up there.

Hey Bronsky, this is the price from a rep but the same online, I tried speaking to many different reps, unfortunately it looks like for us Canadians, they don't give any bit, and the most I was told was $50.

Although, this price was discounted to 12% EPP price, company I work for has an EPP plan with Dell, so the actual price on the site before taxes - 12% + taxes, that's about $200.

Since your initial thought was the price was high, how much high do you think it is.
