    Purolator PIN -- no info!

    This morning I wake up, and first thing I do is check the status of my Inspiron 6400 order. While sleeping, it moved from "in production" to "shipped", and I even have a PIN number to track the shipment.

    Well, trying to do that gives no information at all, just a suggestion to call a number. After staying on hold for about 30 mins, I finally got to speak to an agent, and she said she has no info either.

    I live in Ontario, Canada. I assume the laptop is shipped from the US. My question is if somebody has experience and can tell me whether some more information will start to appear at some point, or I'll have to live in mistery... The problem is that:

    1) I can't wait to get my new laptop;
    2) I am usually away from home and I really need to know when they'll deliver, so that I'm here to sign for the package.

    I'm not sure how it works in canada, but in the states, it takes about 24 to 48 hours to show up in the tracking system. Dell uses a 3rd party to transfer the shipments from the warehouse to your local shipper, and during this time, your laptop is technically not being tracked because it has not arrived at Purolator.

    give it some time. If it doesn't show up after 24 hours, give purolator a call.

    Actually, it showed up already, but all the info I get is that it is "in transit in U.S."... how long does it usually take, does anybody know?

    BTW, it's 2007, just came 5 mins ago---HAPPY NEW YEAR TO ALL!

    Mine shipped on a Thursday and was in transit in US until the following Wednesday when it switched to Toronto processing. Received it the next day.

    Here is one of the data I found when I was searching for how long it would take my comp to arrive. I live in Ontario too and I believe if I remember correctly, this person did too

    Arrived before 1 pm on 2006/07/11
