have Windoxs Vista Ultimate running on a Dell XPS M1530 laptop. I noticed that the screen seems to turn purple... meaning I cannot see the graphics clearly...there are purple spots/blemishes on the screen. The problem seems to become worse when the screen shows dark areas. I cant see the purple spot when i move my head to the sides or when i turn down the screen brightness. I've tried using an external screen and it doesn't show the purple stuff. Is this a screenhardware issue or a graphics adapter card issue or something else? In either case what should I do? NOTE: The purple stuff is positioned right where the screen hits the space button (if it actually touches it)

Does your keyboard have a bulgle where the space bar is located?

A little. I have checked it, and i now know for sure that my keyboard DOES touch the screen when closed. (Primarely in the middle where the space button is)

Sounds like the space bar damaged the screen. You need to call support to see what they say, sounds like either a manufacturing problem with your notebook or the keyboard is not installed correctly causing it to put pressure on your screen and damaging it.
