    Putting a Backlit keyboard in a non-backlit 1535?

    Yes a backlit will work just fine. There is a second cable on the keyboard that plugs in to the motherboard that controls the backlight. All 1535's support the backlit keyboard.

    I put one in my 1537 and love it. My next laptop will have to have one too.
