I'm interested in the m1210 so I went and checked it out a dell mall kiosk, and to be honest, I was really not impressed.

Maybe it was because it was a mall demo one, and had been handled by tons of people, but it felt really flimsy and cheap, and the monitor had tons of wiggle.

Can any owners of the system comment on it?

I have one, and I don't think it is flimsy. The LCD is not as strong as larger notebooks (14,15, etc..), because of the small size. But IMO it is well built for the size. Check out any other 12" notebook and I think you'll notice the same.

I feel that it is quite well built and seems very sturdy. Much sturdier than the 700m.

To me the M1210 feels much more sturdy than the Inspirons I have handled, and MUCH more durable than HPs I've used.

You don't need to be impressed anymore, since the m1210 is going to be replaced by the m1330 within a few weeks...
