What version are you guys using with no problems?
I'm on Vista Home but I'm currently debating going to XP
-
Aim v6.5 I hear is good
-
I havent had a problem with any aim version on vista and ive been using vista since last summer when it was in beta.
-
i have the most recent version of AIM on vista premium...everything seems to work perfectly except video and voice chat...which dont seem to work lol
-
are you guys using 6.5?
-
i'd just use pidgin it will take care of AIM, MSN, Yahoo, and many more all in once client. its free, has no ads, spyware, registration, or any of that type of stuff.
http://pidgin.im -
on my vista desktop i use aim 6.1 with no problems, on my 1520 i use 6.5 with minor problems.
if you want minimalistic then go with pidgin, if not then go ahead with 6.5, the problem that i am having is that when i try to close with the top right buttons, it shows me the resize mouse poniter instead. not a big deal ALT-F4 does the job so does ESC -
I'm also running the newest version of AIM ,6.5 I believe, on vista premium with no problems.
-
Well I just downloaded AIM the day after Christmas so it must be the newest version. I haven't used it much and I reallly only use it for basic chat, but it has worked flawlessly so far.
-
I have the newest version of AIM and I have experienced ZERO problems.

Nobody mentioned Trillian? I'm using Trillian on vista without problems, the only thing that doesn't work is the logging which is easily remedied by changing the folder it's saved to since UAC won't let it write to program files.

Trillian works, also pign
