Hi,
I recently received my 1720 and installed rivatuner to monitor the temperature of the gpu. I had ordered the 8600M GT and rivatuner says it is that, but then under it it says something with "G84." What does this mean? Did I in fact get the gpu I ordered? Or is it an 8400M? I have attached a screen capture for reference. Thanks.

I just recently updated the article.

Look under the technical summary. G84M is basically a codename for that card. -
if you check in BIOS it is actually 8600M GS, it was also reported in other threads though I cannot locate now. I think they just changed string or register somewhere so it displays nicely GT in device manager. The other symptom it cannot be OC so WEI is stuck at 4.5
Question about 8600M GT on 1720.
