Hi, I'm new here and I'm just wondering if it's worth it to upgrade the processor. It's $85 for an extra 133 mhz of speed. How much difference would there be in the 1.60ghz and 1.73ghz processors.

That's really all I need to know. Once I find that out, I'll be able to order it and use :750: ! Sorry, I just had to use that picture.

if you got the $ to upgrade, then do it.

i don't think you'll notice much of a difference tho... maybe if you jumped from 1.6 to 2.0, but that's quite a jump in price as well.

I don't really have the money to go up to 2ghz. So you don't think it would be really worth $85 for an extra 133mhz? Alright, can I get a second opinion on this issue?

By the way, here is what I am looking at getting:
    -Pentium M 1.73 or 1.6
    -512mb ram
    -80gb hard drive
    -cd/dvd recorder
    -geforce go 6800
    -2 year warranty

    How does that sound?

I agree with Drumfu. If you can afford to go up to 1.73, then go for it. You won't really notice any difference if you are doing regular tasks.

i'd say use that $ to upgrade something else; like an extra battery or upgraded hard drive / cd drive /etc.

you really wont notice a difference.

Use the money to upgrade your RAM at newegg instead.
