    Is it worth to pay the extra money to get the LED's display? I read that besides the weight and the brighter colors, the power consumption is similar.

    I will use the XPS to develop in Java and ocassional gaming or watching a movie, so I don't know if ...

    The LED backlights are more efficient and will use less power at the same brightness level while being brighter when on full power.

    I bought it mostly because its lighter and thinner, and when I spent this much money (1700 before taxes without LED) why not spend a little more ($150) for a better screen?
