So I wasn't really sure which forum is the best one to post this question, but I figure that since I have a Dell, I'd ask on the Dell forums.

Anyway, it's just a question more out of curiousity then anything else.

When storing/not using your laptop, are there any issues with a laptop being vertical (i.e. keyboard perpendicular to the ground) for a period of time? Or should a laptop generally alwasy be flat/horizontal when its not in use?

The orientation does not matter. Just keep the notebook protected from dust and humidity and don't place anything heavy on top. Many people carry their notebooks around in bags, which means they are in an upright position for most of the time and yet they don't break.

I don't think it matters as posted. I would try to keep the bag at room temperature too.
