How many people got Webcams with their Dells? I never used one before and can't think of any reason I would use one, but it is only a $30 add-on so should I just get it?

Totally up to your own preferenes of course, but you might be able to think of some relatives or old friends who no longer live close to you whom you might want to be on the webcam with sometime.

I have one on my desktop here and it just sort of pops on top. But having one built into the notebook is a really cool idea. It's priced well. I say go for it!

I would probably use it (initially) for AIM and stuff (just to show off), but it would wear down really quickly. I had a webcam in college (attached to my PC) and used it once throughout my ENTIRE college career to take pics with my friends. Its up to you though....

For $30 it seems like it is a worthy investment. If nothing else it is a cheap digital camera attached to your computer - that could be put to use a few times, ditto with the microphone. Who knows, maybe it will become an integral part of your life. Hey, it's possible.

agree with above post, I am getting it simply because it's so cheap, and integrated. I have seen pics that it produces and a comparable model would be at least $50 or more and be a add on piece. This adds little to no weight and is cheap. Doubt I will use it a ton, but if I use it a few times it pays off.
