    I was just wondering when i ordered my studio 15, i looked at my order i seen

    Installation DECLINE INSTALL

    Now im new to laptops and someone mentioned u have the option to install vista yourself or have dell do it for u?
    Well id rather dell do it for me but im afraid of what decline install means

    Is Windows Vista mentioned in your config?

    If so, the CDs should be included with the order. Throw up the config and let's check it out.

    Well you will definitely get Vista.

    Did you somehow choose to not allow Dell to install Vista for you? I haven't seen that DECLINE INSTALL before - Dell pre-installs Vista on all of their laptops. Give Dell a call and ask.

    I'm pretty sure that's in reference to having someone come install/set-up your computer in your home- an option more likely to be used for a desktop computer.

    IrstblBlis has got it exactly right........like if u try and customize a desktop config, home installation is an option , thus with a laptop no installation is necessary (declined)
