    Hey all,

I'm purchasing a laptop for university and have decided on the m1330 for a variety of reasons. I've been talking to my university sales rep and am ready to order the laptop, but I have a few questions about the LED screen before I do so, and so far no one has been able to give me a satisfactory answer.

I've priced out the laptop both with and without the LED screen, and before I decided which to order I would like to know 3 things: just how much thicker is the laptop with the normal screen, how much more does it weigh with the normal screen (I think someone said 0.2lbs more), and most importantly, how much is the battery life affected by the normal screen with the 9 cell battery? They quote up to 7 hours with the LED screen (which is probably being generous), but does anyone know just how much lower this would be with the normal screen?

Also, interestingly, my rep says that the laptop will be about 12 days to ship, regardless of if I pick the LED screen or not. Sounds kind of fishy given everything I've heard about shortages...

Thanks a bunch in advance guys!

With regards to ther shipping, the rep on the phone said my M1330 would take 5-6 days till it arrives, on laughing and asking the rep to be serious he put me on hold and a few minutes later told me "yes sir, it will be at least 10 days". On checking the EDD on the website it says it should arrive on or before the 21 of September ... simple 1 Dell day = 1 customer week, I hope yours doesn't take 12 weeks

That's what I figured about the shipping date... I do live in Canada though, but I doubt that would make a difference. Thanks for the specs on the width of the notebook, does anyone have any numbers for battery life between the two screens?

I'm hearing some people say that there is no difference in battery life and that Dell never claimed otherwise (which is true, as far as I can tell), and some people say it will affect battery life by up to an hour. Does anyone know the truth?
