    I have the M1210 with the mobile broadband built in.

    I use alltel currently and have the data package on my Treo 700wx.

    I've tethered my phone and can surf the internet using the USB cable.

    I was wondering if it is possible to program your phone information into the mobile broadband card?

    Probably not but worth a shot...

    Swap the SIM cards (Behind the M1210 Battery) and find out!

    Alltel = CDMA ...

    I would go through the whole blurb, but the simple answer is No.

    :-(

    Alltel is a CDMA based network (hence no SIM card).

    You'd have to do an esn swap. I dont know much about alltell but if its a carrier that lets you do it online then its possible and not very complicated. Except for the fact that you wont be able to receive voice calls while the wwan card in your notebook is using your line.

    I know Sprint doesn't allow ESN swaps with ESN's they don't recognize (so Sprint phones and devices only). :-(....

    I don't know about Alltel though....

    Doesn't hurt to call and ask. I don't think they'll hassle you much since it's just more money for them!

    Yeah I wish it was a simple sim card swap however Alltel being CDMA = no sim cards.
