Hey i know that under properties the computer reports your speed and ram, but is that real time or accurate or anything. Is there a program that reports the real cpu speed ur clocked at and the ram also?

    Go to http://www.diefer.de/i8kfan/index.html

It's a nice little program that tells you what temperature your computer is running at, and one of the options you can choose will show your real time speed.

I don't recommend playing with the "fan settings" options. I just use the program to see my computer's temperature and speed.

The speed listed by Windows XP can be very inaccurate. This program actually obtains the speed from the BIOS.

I don't know of a program that reads RAM speed. Sorry.

It should work (even though it's not listed on the comptability sheet because it's a newer machine, but since it's similar to the 1100, it should be fine) I just wouldn't mess with the fan setting stuff if I were you.

You can try dowloading SpeedSwitch XP from the same website...that should defintely work, at least reading the CPU part of it,...
