    hi im new and my new laptop is on the way. i plan to reformat it once i recieve it however there is one thing that is making me concerned. since dell just recently released a new version of mediadirect (MediaDirect 3.0) i would like to know if the process of repairing mediadirect is still the same? thanks for your help

    AFAIK, it is the same. The only thing different between the two versions is software. I know with the repair utilities available online, they contain a PDF that give directions, so you might check the driver section for your laptop to see if they have updated the repair utility.

    i just checked the website and in the application is says "A05." is that refering to the A05 bios? if so would it still be compatiblie since the new bios is A09? sorry for all the questions. all help is appreciated
