Okay, so after a trip to the mall Dell kiosk to scope out the keyboard and screen, I just ordered a 700m (Woo hoo! Love the :750: )

At any rate (and I know this may sound stupid), I can't remember where I heard this, but I heard that some folks had thier notebook delivered, and left on thier doorstep. I know I've had this happen a number of times to me with other shipments, despite my calls to both FedEx and UPS. I have mine being shipped with the semi-free shipping (3-5 days).

Can someone please assure me that Dell ships its notebooks with signature required?

Put a sign on your door, in large letters, do not deliver this without signature or deliver this to neighbors.

I would do what zazonz said just to be safe. Although, I know with Dell you have to have a signature. I live out in the country side, so most of my packages are just left on the doorstep, even if they require signature. With the laptop, they wouldn't leave it. Dell has it where all of their packages (even the CDs) require signature.
