    What's up all?

Well, I have decided since I am investing a little more time into gaming, and doing it on a laptop, I should get a second opinion of these temperatures are well..safe?..

    Typically, the CPU is: 40 - 50 C,
    Under load from a game: 50 - 73 C

These safe? I should I invest in some articsilver compound and a cooling pad. I want this damn thing to last.. not die in a month.

Under 100 is safe. But keep it under 80.

I believe that in general, you wouldn't want to hit over 70 for prolonged periods, with 90 being the upper limit (where Bad Things start to happen). But I tend to stick to the safe side of things, hence the difference to Lithus' answer.

Ah so it's typically the same range as desktops? Excellent, I figured laptops had a much less of a threshold, considering the size and such.

What's you're opinion on the life of the notebook under those temperatures on a daily bases? I'd imagine 4 years atleast.. My alienware is warped and scared me from heat and it's still kicking after a year or so, and it's always crawling at the 95C mark..lol
