Ok so, I finally decided on a 1720, for college life mainly as well as a few games here and there, web surfing, all that jazz.

I ordered the Anti-glare screen and was wondering if this is better than the glossy screen for what I am using the laptop for?

My room has 2 windows, so it would be useful here, same goes for on campus, but would games take a huge hit picture and quality wise due to it not being glossy?

Btw, it's dual core 1.5 gigz, 2 gigs of ram, 256 mb 8600go - Welcome me soon enough :)

Nah, personally I think glossy screens are overrated - my matte screen serves its purpose well and produces nice colours.

Glossy just makes the colors more vibrant, IMO. If you use it in the sun 99% then I'd stick with the antiglare.

Alright thanks guys, I just didn't want to have "lesser" colors when I play my games or watch movies.

My house would most likely require the anti glare unless it was nighttime and my campus has lights everywhere lol.

I'm just paranoid that my picture will look bad, or that it will look to dark and hard to see.
