I know it has 64mb of dedicated memory and 192 shared. Is there a way to turn the 192 on and off? I'm not sure if its only running on 64 now or 256. Thanks in advance.

Let me see if I understand this correctly. There is 64MB of memory designated for the GPU (ie on/by the GPU or motherboard) but it uses 192MB of the physical computer RAM to for the rest? I believe this is because the m1210 comes with a minimum of 1GB which means that even with the extra use of the 192MB there is still 832MB available to be used by the CPU/OS.

TurboCache is name of this technology utilizing system memory for the graphics card (ala AGP Aperture using system memory as well as the video memory)

I searched the internet up and down and it doesn't look as there is a way to disable this. Maybe if someone made a hacked bios for it their would be a chance to actually disable it but benefit would not be that useful as it doesn't always use the extra 192MB it seems only when it is needed.

Some good reading in terms of understanding TurboCache

Turbo cache is implemented via hardware(the chip itself) it works quite well and you really wouldnt want to disable it even if you could. There would be no performance gain, the memory is allocated dynamically when needed, it doesnt just gobble up 192 on boot and keep it, so by disabling it, all you would be doing is hobbling your system, you wouldnt gain any more performance, and your 3d apps would suffer signficantly.

ATI's hyper memory is a software based solution and not very efficent, sometimes it can be beneficial to disable that. Bottom line, you cant disable turbo cache, and you really dont want to.
