My nVidia Go 7800 just died in my E1705 and I need to replace it. Does anyone know if the ATI X1400 is a downgrade and how much of a downgrade?? I use my laptop for mostly just basic stuff.... internet, e-mail, and the occasional DVD movie. Would I notice a big difference with the X1400 or should I go for the nVidia 7900GS (or GTX)? Thanks!

It is a HUGE downgrade, as in the new card would be about a 1/4th of the power of the 7800. If you don't game, then its fine...if you game, you'll want to get a 7900GS.
