Hey there, I've been searching for this information but I can't get the right combination of search terms out. Also read through the whole official Mini 9 thread and didn't see this addressed.
I was wondering how far out an installed SD/SDHC card sticks out of the slot on the Mini 9? It seems a common thing for people to buy a big, fast card and leave it in there for permanent additional storage. I've got one on order thanks to all the fun with the Dell Outlet this week (missed the 15% off deal but managed to score a 512/16GB with no OS (have spare XP Pro, Vista, and Ubuntu I'm going to try) for only $329).
I ordered a 2GB stick of G.Skill 4-4-4-12 from Newegg but haven't yet picked up an SD card - I had one in my fiancée's e1505 but in her taking it places it apparently got knocked out, but since that was just for ReadyBoost, no big deal. However if I have an 8GB+ SDHC card in my Mini 9 I don't want it disappearing for obvious reasons.
Thanks!

Excellent! That makes me feel more confident about sticking a $130 SDHC card in there
Thanks for your help!

Man, if you're spending $130 on an 8GB card, you're spending about a hundred fifteen bucks too much.

hmm yeah i picked up a sandisk extreme II 8gb for 35+tax. $130 seems a little bit more expensive than the norm. Maybe its one of those crazy fast ones??

I am using a 16SDHC and just be prepared for it to be SUPER slow compared to the 16SSD- Its fine for some extra storage but I would not run anything on it due to SLOW.
$32 for 16

I was specifically turned off by the comments folks left on the Patriot linked above though, because one of the reviews mentioned a camcorder telling the person that the memory wasn't fast enough. -
makes my 200 purchase shipped w tax even more lovely

i bought one of these but when i bought it a month ago it was only $29.50. shipped fast and works great in my mini. i basically use it to store movies on and i think the mini9 is a great small movie player. no stuttering or anything and i'm using the free media player classic (not a windows program).
