Hello all, first post here. I have a question about overnight shipping. I selected overnight on my new E1505 and was wondering if the shipping company delivers before 10AM or is it whenevr they get there kind of a deal? I asked Dell when I placed the order and the woman on the phone said it was really up to the shipping company. I was just wondering what others experienced here.
Good forum, looking forward to reading and contributing.

Depends on when they ship the item out, where you live, and which company you're using.
Good rule of thumb for overnight is: If dell shipped your order out at 3pm monday, you would probably see it around the same time the next day.
AM delivery is more common for stuff that gets shipped out before 10am or noon the previous day, depending on carrier, because they all have different flight schedules and trucking routes that need to be taken into account. -
Thanks for the reply...I'm just so anxious to get the laptop. I've been watching the Dell My Account page constantly (if the Dell site has slowed down it's most likely my fault with all the refreshes I've been throwing at it LOL). I order it yesterday afternoon, it went from received to acknowledged to confirmed in no time. Pre production a couple of hours later, production shortly after that. Over night it did the kitting and building, went into testing this morning, came out a couple hours later, and now it's been sitting in boxing state most of the day. I'm like, how long does it take to box the darn thing? LOL.
Anyways, I'm moving from a Toshiba M55-S325 (little over a year old-for sale by the way of anyone is interested) and can't wait to run Vista with full Aero glory on the E1505. I know I'll prolly get flamed for that comment ;-) I'm excited to do some movie editting on it and see how it performs. -
Well boxing is not just boxing your laptop. Its when it goes from Malaysia (spelling) to the place where its being shipped from. That can take 1-3 business days
