Sorry if it has already been stated,

I have a Toshiba screen for m1330, its bright but grainy, and was wondering which screens are better than mine. I heard somewhere that chi mei is the worst, since its dim and grainy. How does samsung compare with the toshiba? and are there other brands other than the LG I should look for?

this is my 2nd time calling them to replace my screen I got the Chi mei and told the person its pointless to install it.... I'm guessing my odds of getting an LG screen are slim since people are usually satisfied with it.

Well, I had both the tosh and the cmo and I can tell you that the cmo was COMPLETE garbage. It had faint yellow lines (looked sort of like a grid) and it wasn't a defect - others reported the same thing.

The tosh, however, was fabulous. It had great colors, brightness, and a nice crisp sharpness to text.

The Samsung and the Toshiba seem to be best (at least for M1330 LED screens).
The quality of the individual screen can vary though. Someone posted in another thread that he had two M1330's, both with Toshiba screens, but one was brighter and better looking than the other.

I have the Toshiba screen on mine, and I love it. The CMO screen really was junk. Unfortunately my Toshiba screen has a weird circle-y ring in the middle where the colors look different, and my keys are still rubbing the coating off in little lines on my screen, which is why I sent the CMO one back in the first place. Anyone know what I can do about this? I love my screen other than this!

Does LG only make screens for m1330 or only for m1530?

There is no LG LED screen option with the 1330. CCFL only.

Take better care of your laptop that is what you can do. The circle is caused by putting too much pressure on the lid of the laptop (did you have it in a back pack). Same with the key marks on the screen...too much pressure was applied to the lid so that the screen bent and touch the keys.

What can you do? Don't put pressure on the laptop lid and place a piece of paper or microfiber cloth between the keys and lid when you shut the screen.
