I have a M1530 and this is my only computer and i plan to leave it on overnight for downloads and such. Does leaving a laptop on overnight (High Performance mode on Vista) consume more power than say a standard desktop? Does anyone have any specific figures?

How much difference does the Power Saving mode and the High Performance mode make regarding power consumption?

    thanx in advance

a laptop takes a significantly less power than a desktop. I believe your laptop consumes a maximum of 90 watts. Not sure, but if leaving it on for downloads, it will probably consume about 45 watts at most.
