I bought a BT from ebay from the store newdealalert for my E1705, my question is when I install it is there something a switch somewhere to turn it on or it should automatically detect it?
I install it and even install drivers for different ones to see if just in case it will do something but my computer is not detecting anything?
Or maybe it's a bad one, and I know someone will ask why I did not buy with the system but barelly had enought for tax and shipping for the laptop that I'm happy with everything else can upgrade and I got a good deal on the BT on ebay.

It should be detected depending on if it was internal or external module.

If it was external, XP should automatically detect it with no problems. If it is internal, then go to your device manager and make sure that you have the device enable. Also, FN+F2 turns on/off your wireless devices (BT & wifi).
