How would I run memtest, do I just download it and run it? Do I have to burn it to a cd or something? Also, how do I tell what screen I have? Also, on my device manager list I see that I have question marks on some of the devices, but I don't know what drivers to download.

What drivers should I get for my 7900gs? OC'ing, gpu temp monitoring, best stock performance scores...

    Thanks!

Correct. Download the ISO file and burn the image to a disk. Insert disk, restart computer, F12, boot from optical drive

Go to the Dell website. My Account -> My Systems & Peripherals - > Support For My System -> Original System Configuration. Enter your service tag.

You can also run a program called PowerStrip.

What categories do the devices fall under? It would also help if you posted a screenshot. One driver that people often forget to install is the Ricoh chipset driver.

I don't know, but I've heard good things about Omega drivers :) I don't know if there are any available for the 7900 though.

Also, I should have received free burning software with my system right? I can't find it. I tried downloading an "update" from the dell site but it says it can't find the program, so I dont know. What is a good burning program that is free? I want to burn my media direct repair cd as well as the memtest86+. I also found out I have a Samsung screen.

The burning software is Sonic Record. You must call Dell to request this.

To burn Media Direct, I have directions in the Reformat & reinstall guide. It gives you programs to use to burn the files.

Did you install your Chipset Drivers and Ricoh drivers?

I believe so, I'll try again though. Do I get this software for free? I already downloaded their fix for the Media Direct because the cd I got from them only runs diagnostics? I'll update soon.

The Drivers & download disc has the Media Direct Repair on it, but you can make your own disc.

Yes, you get this disc for free. It will be sent with DHL/UPS and you get it in 2 days.

I tried to search for it on the CD, I can't find it. What would it be under? I followed your directions, but after I boot from the CD drive it just says that I have 2 options 1) Run diagnostics 2) quit.
Also, I fixed the problems, The bluetooth crap was bugging me too so I got it fixed. When I get a BT device I'll use it. I also downloaded the other chipset drivers, they were already installed, but i reinstalled again for the heck of it and it took the question marks away. So that's good. I think I'll just search for a good free burning program unless the Sonic program is a lot better?

    Personally, I like Nero.

You should be able to insert the disc, and press F12 repeatedly, and then supposedly boot from cd/dvd rom. It will load the repair utility automatically, but I'm not sure.

You can download Media Direct from the web. You have to have a special program to burn .iso files and there is a freeware program that works good.

Memtest86+ went through 3 passes with no errors. Fixed Media direct, also got nero from a cd I have (sweet). Also, fixed the BT device.
