If I am going to be getting a 1420 purely for web browsing, emailing and any simple Word, Excel type work, is there anything wrong with the integrated graphics card?

Also, any need to upgrade from 1.46MHz to 1.5Ghz Processor?

If you had to choose, would you take the 1.5Ghz Processor over the 1.46MHz Processor or the Integrated Graphics Card over the 8400M GS Graphics card???

I do plan on getting the computer with 1GB RAM and upgrading it to 2GB Crucial Ram. Any other suggestions? Trying to get price right at $900 to use $200 off coupon code.

Again, NO gaming on this little toter...thanks!

If you are not gaming that card (Integrated Graphics Card) can handle everything you mentioned. As far as the CPU's I would need to know the exact ones to know what else is different between them but for 40MHz I don't know if its worth more that a $10 upgrade unless this 1.5GHz CPU has double the L2 cache or faster FSB or something. I am assuming you meant 1.46GHz and not 1.46MHz btw.

    Thanks...here are the CPU's ($50 price difference):

    Intel® Pentium® Dual Core T2310 (1.46GHz/533Mhz FSB/1MB cache) [Included in Price]
    Intel® Core™ 2 Duo T5250 (1.5GHz/667Mhz FSB/2MB cache)

If all you're doing is web browsing and Office work, the cheaper processor and integrated video will be fine. Just get the cheapest configuration you can and upgrade the RAM to 2GB yourself. Now, if you really want to get to that $900 mark to use the coupon and need to upgrade something, the processor upgrade would be far more useful than the graphics card for your needs.

Thanks! That is what I thought. To get to $899 I upgraded the processor and had to upgrade the hard drive to 120 over 80...got me to $914. I think I am good to go!!! Going with anti-glare screen, any issues?

You will be fine with the Pentium Dual Core for those purposes.

Getting antiglare or glossy is personal preference. I prefer antiglare, because I don't use my laptop as a mirror lol.
