It's been a long time since I bought a Dell and I seem to remember big coupons available around Black Friday. I just bought an Arm MBP and so I need a dell for windows gaming now. (well- I use the word need loosely here)l.

I'd like to get a Dell XPS 17- basically just the screen upgrade is all I care about since I mostly just use it for gaming. So the cost is around $2400. I seem to remember large discounts during Black Friday around 30-40% - but it's been 10 years.

What kind of discounts can I expect before pulling the trigger?

Dell will likely have some good deals, and the cashback websites like ebates will probably be around 10%. Black friday is around the corner, if you need a laptop then I would wait for it.

I don't know which XPS 17 configuration you're looking at getting, but if you don't mind a return, the Dell Outlet is worth a look. Have personally bought from the Dell Outlet and it's always looked new, as long as it's not marked scratch and dent.
