First post here, looks like a great site.
My current notebook is a loaded Inspiron 8200, which has served me flawlessly for the last 4 1/2 years. This workhorse will be passed on to my wife for her gift shop business for use at Fairs, Flea markets etc.

I ordered the E1505 on 4/12 and got the T7200, 2 G DDR, and Nvidia Go 7300(Dell recommended for Vista)and Ultrasharp sxga Truelife display.
I notice on the Dell site the T7200 is no longer offered as an option on the E1505, why is this?
I also noticed that while Dell chooses the Nvidia card for the 1505, they choose the ATI 1400 for the Inspiron 6400. My understanding is the 1505 and 6400 are primarily identical machines, why the difference in Dell recommendations. Should I have gotten the ATI card instead?
    Thanks to all,
    Walt

    1. Yes, this is a good site.

    2. Dell confidgurations change a lot based on supply. The T7200 is the hot chip right now. Used in PC laptops, iMacs, Mac laptops.

    3. The X1400 is supposed to be a little better than the 7300, but, I really doubt it's something that would be noticed under general use. A lot of people seem to prefer NVidia drivers.

The 6400 and 1505 are the same. Dell really would benefit from a simplified product lineup.
