Hey guys, today i decided to connect my M1330 to the Sony LCD 27" in my room and i have a few questions...
first of all the picture doesnt look all that great...its kind of distorted, is there any way to change the resolution or anything? i think its on 1080i right now.
second, when i am watching movies sometimes it gets kind of choppy and theres quick lines of choppiness. is anyone else experiancing this...is it normal or what?
thanks!

You change the resolution in the control panel. It can't possibly be at 1080i.

Hmm...cuz as soon as i plugged in the HDMI cable into my tv and the picture came up on my sony LCD it said at the top "1080i". same thing when i turn on my xbox 360 it displays the resolution "720p" from component cables.

Right-click your desktop, click personalize. Then go into display settings to say what the resolution is at when using the tv as the monitor. Perhaps it is set lower than what it could be.

Thanks, i got around to adjusting the resolution. i guess i will just run dual monitiors. laptop for internet/msn/etc. LCD for movies and gaming. resolution is set mad high lol

I got 1080i too and the edges of the screen were cut off. I could just barely see the top of the start button. The TV is a 40" S0ny Bravia LCD 720P. When I played video in clone mode it seemed to drop frames. I need to try it out on a 1080p screen, I think the problem is the 720p resolution. It's interlacing at a lower refresh rate. I'd like to have a set up with an HDTV as my primary display and just sit on the couch with a wireless keyboard/mouse.

in my nvidia control panel this is my set up:
signal or hd format: 1080i
digital color format: YCbCr444
resize hdtv desktop:
just adjust it so the edges are all proper.
on my TV (sony bravia) in my wega gate, i have the screen overscan set to +1 or +2. -
I fixed it, I used the setting for 720p and lowered the resolution to 1100 by 600 something. That allowed me to set a 60hz refresh rate. It looked pretty good actually, but I still want a 1080p

Max resolution is 1920x1200, which is a 24" at native. Your 27" is bigger, so maybe its something to do with that?
-
There is no native size for a resolution. Only a native resolution for a monitor/tv.
