I am getting ready to order an i9300. I really think that I want to get the wuxga screen. But my question is, what other resolutions are supported on this screen. On the display properties settings menu, what other resolutions are selectable for this screen. I can't imagine it is locked to only 1920x1200. If someone has this option could you post the other resolution options and maybe a quick impression of what effect it has on the quality of the display.

running any resolution other than the native res will make things fuzzy.

you can run all the way down to 800x600

I guess it depends what GPU in in there, I would ask this question at Dell.com support, they know better (I hope;o)

Any resolution is "supported", but keep in mind anything but native resolution will pixalate images and text. You will get that 'fuzzyness' and the screen won't look sharp.

The WUXGA will look its best at a small font/image setting. You could opt for the standard WXGA if your eyes aren't very strong and you want larger icons and text.

Umm I believe so. The WUXGA you mean < 1920 by 1200. So try to get an idea of how that would look on a 19". Pretty petite in my opinion. But many do like it that small.

well, i run at 1680x1050 and everything looks fine. And 1680x1050 looks like my old 15" crt's 1024x768 just better

WUXGA's native resolution is 1920x1200 and I agree with previous poster, that makes things very petite, you can run any resolution up to the native resolution but as with any lcd panel, running it in anything other than native resolution or precisely half that value will make things look a bit fuzzy and not as sharp.

I went ahead and ordered it with the WUXGA screen and now I can say I'm glad I did. The screen is great. The text is just about the size I prefer, maybe a little smalller and the blur when changing down to a lower resolution is very acceptable, not nearly as bad as I have seen on standard desktop LCDs.
