I am looking into getting 1gig memory and I heard it is easy to install by yourself just takes a few screws and a little panel. Correct?
Now what about reformating my laptop. I wasnt given a start up CD for after I reformat. Can anyone help me out on what to dl or get off a site in order to get my laptop working again once I reformat. Or when I reformat is it self startup?
Just a few question I hope can be answered. Thanks alot.

Yep it is the panel on the bottom. Here is the service guide

You'll need a Windows XP CD. Any will work. -
Upgrading the memory is very easy.
If you flip your laptop over, you will see a large rectangular plastic piece, exactly like the image Atbnet posted.
Their are two screws which hold it down. Remove them and use your fingernail to open the memory bay cover.
Inside you will find two DDR2 sodimm memory slots.
The E1505 has a maximum memory support of 2Gb of P5300 sodimm memory.
You cannot install more than 2Gb of memory because the system will not turn on with more than 2Gb installed.
Before buying your memory, see what memory you currently have.
If both slots are filled, you can either buy one higher capacity card and sell the lower capacity one.
or if you have a free slot, simply buy one card and fill it.
or you can max the system out with 2 1Gb Pc5300 memory modules.
